Indoor Recreation Facility COVID-19 Safety Plan

Before any sport, recreation and fitness teams, groups and clubs may enter the facility, a safety plan must be developed to ensure all relevant public health guidelines and requirements are in place to reduce the risk of transmission of COVID-19.

A COVID-19 Safety Plan must be completed and approved by the City of Peterborough prior to facility access.  This Safety Plan should be completed with the understanding that Peterborough Public Health is following The Plan to safely reopen Ontario and manage COVID-19 for the long-term.

Effective September 22, 2021 proof of vaccination against COVID-19 is required at all indoor sport and recreation facilities.

Please follow the steps below to assist you in completing the safety plan:

  1. Review the City of Peterborough - Indoor Facility Safety Plan Guidelines
  2. Visit the Peterborough Public Health website under the Sports & Recreation Guidance for Teams and Clubs section.
  3. Review The plan to safety reopen Ontario and manage COVID-19 for the long-term
  4. Ensure you are compliant with your national or provincial sporting organization
  5. Complete the Safety Plan template below and “submit” for review and approval.
