Municipal Recreation Subsidy Program
How to apply
Please complete the online subsidy application and provide the following:
- Verification of your address (Acceptable forms of verification are: rent receipt, property tax assessement or official residential bill ie. PUC or Enbridge)
- Identification for yourself, spouse/partner (if applicable) and all dependent children in your care (Acceptable forms of verification are: health card, birth certificate, drivers license or passport)
- Verification of family income - please provide one of the following: 2021 Notice of Assessment, 2021 Canada Child Tax Benefit statement showing annual family income or proof of social assistance (My Benefits statement).
Notification of eligibility
Eligibility is dependent on meeting the criteria and the availability of subsidy funds. The Subsidy Administrator will review your application and email you within ten business days to let you know if your application is approved.
Request for reimbursement
If a registration fee was paid prior to applying for a recreation subsidy you may request a reimbursement. The request must be submitted within 30 days of paying the registration fee. Requests made in excess of 30 days will not be considered.
